Sam is a two to three year old male spotted brown tabby. He as rescued from the pound by the Minnesota Humane Society and adopted last year. Unfortunately he was returned because his home didn't feel they had enough time for him and also Sam wasn't getting along well with the other cat in the home.
Sam is one of the sweetest, gentle, playful affectionate and endearing boys you will ever meet. Perhaps his first love is having his tummy rubbed. He will lay down on his side, paws apart, and then roll over to his other side and back and forth until you are finished. He loves to cuddle in your lap and snuggle at night. He also loves to join you for a nap, snuggling between your arm and side with his head on your arm, all the while purring happily. One of his favorite games is to chase large bottle caps rolled across a wood or tile floor. This gentle giant never bites or extends his claws. He is great with kids. He is also great about using his box.
Sam has not been exposed to dogs so we do not know how he would do living with a dog. He may do fine in a home with the right cat. He is not a cat that does well with being left home alone for long periods every day. Sam needs and will return lots of attention and affection.
Sam is a big boy, a few pounds overweight, and his food intake will need to be monitored because he eats like the starving kitten he probably was before he was rescued. However, he is not a picky eater, and always looks forward to meal time. Sam will need to be kept on a strict diet to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight. He currently weighs 18 lbs and should lose at least 3 lbs.
Come visit Sam at the Minnetonka Chuck and Don's store.
Sam is neutered, FeLuk/FIV negative, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped.
